1/2″ NPT Upright sprinklers are designed to be used in projects that fall into low and medium hazard classes. Values such as K factor, Reactivity and Temperature are determined by the project type, design and calculations. Quick response sprinklers are definitely not used in high hazard class areas. When installed on the designed pipe network, the deflector part of the sprinkler is directed upwards and when the sprinkler is activated, the water flow starts downwards in a conical manner.
